Storytelling Project

​The APEX storytelling project works to give Pakistani students an opportunity to document and describe daily life in Pakistan from their own perspectives. Using photography and narratives, the project encourages students to create stories that capture interactions with their daily surroundings, which may seem mundane yet hold significant personal, social, or cultural meaning.  These are personal stories and reflect the lived experience of each student. The collections of photos and stories in this project are intended to give the authors agency and to provide those outside Pakistan and South Asia a window into often unheard voices. As an ongoing project with schools from across Pakistan, new schools will be continuously added as material is generated.
